That’s the way we do things at Our House.

A few years ago, a stray dog showed up at our production facility. She was very pregnant and extremely malnourished from not getting enough food and the strain of carrying her puppies. Everyone at Our House Designs felt sorry for this little dog, who we named Miss Daisy, and decided to make her part of our family. Miss Daisy would stay with us at the plant during the day, then we took turns taking her home with us at night.

Soon after we adopted little Miss Daisy, she had her puppies – each different and beautiful – and since carrying the puppies had drained Miss Daisy’s body of all of its nutrients, we had to bottle-feed each one of them by hand. Everyone at Our House Designs pulled together to help care for Miss Daisy and her puppies, five of whom were eventually adopted by our associates and their families. Miss Daisy has fully recovered and continues to spend her days with us at our plant, while going home to a safe and loving family at night.

So what does all of this have to do with our furniture? We feel that Miss Daisy’s story perfectly symbolizes how we craft furniture differently at Our House Designs. As a family owned and operated business, we don’t see what we do as simply making furniture – we see it as our family taking care of yours while helping your family create lasting memories. Just like we pulled together to care for Miss Daisy and her puppies, the staff of Our House Designs nurtures each design and each piece of furniture individually, treating it with love and care until it is ready to become part of your family. The days of caring for Miss Daisy and her babies will forever be a special memory for all of us at Our House, and we hope our furniture helps bring lasting family memories to you.
