The number of recline cycles the battery can execute depends on the size of the occupant and the number of accessories connected to the system such as LED lighting or USB chargers. Confirm the AC cord is properly connected to the wall outlet and battery pack. NO LED On: plug the battery pack into an outlet to-recharge. Wait 30 second and the RED LED will illuminate indicating it is charging. Allow 5 hours to fully charge the battery pack. It may be beneficial to disconnect the battery pack from the furniture during the charging process. Confirm outlet used for charging is working properly. RED LED: this indicates the battery needs to be charged. A fully charged battery pack should provide over 200 uses, dependent on load and accessories. The battery pack will discharge when idle. Verify circuit breakers in the house are not tripped. GREEN LED: indicates battery is fully charged and ready for use. If the battery pack does not hold a charge as indicated then contact customer service at (888)987-1011 or customerservice@raffel. com. If the battery pack does not recharge as indicated then contact customer service at (888)987-1011 or customerservice@ raffel.com. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Be sure the battery is fully charged before use. To confirm this, press the Test button on the side of the unit. If the indicator light is green then the battery is ready for use. If the indicator light is red, plug it into an outlet to charge. 2. To install, connect the cord with the female connector to the male 2-pin plug hard wired to the recline motor. Be sure to position the battery pack in a location where the cord will not be damaged in the recline mechanism. 3. Press the test button on the side of the battery pack to check the status of the battery while in use. If the battery has enough power to properly operate the furniture the test button will activate a GREEN LED. When the battery drops to 20% capacity, the test button will activate a RED LED. When this occurs, plug the battery pack into a standard wall outlet to recharge. 4. During the charging process a LED light will constantly indicate the current status of the battery pack. A RED LED indicates the charging process is not complete. A GREEN LED indicates the battery is fully charged. *You have the option of using the battery while it is charging but this will require a much longer charging time before the battery is fully charged. **Do not completely drain the battery as this may reduce the life of the battery. ***Once the battery is fully charged, unplug it from the wall outlet. Leaving the battery plugged into a wall outlet while fully charged will cause the battery to drain more quickly during use. Notes: 1.
